Joint Library of the Hellenic & Roman Societies / Institute of Classical Studies Library

The Library is maintained jointly with the Societies for the Promotion of Hellenic and Roman Studies and in association with the Institute of Classical Studies (University of London). It contains over 130,000 volumes, 22,000 bound volumes of periodicals, thereby bringing the overall total to almost 152,000 volumes. The Library has an international reputation as one of the world’s foremost Classics libraries.

Scanning Available

While we continue our quest for a new photocopier/scanner we are offering a modest scanning service in the library for readers. High definition colour scans are now available at a cost of 50 pence per page either to be sent via email or transferred onto a portable storage device. This service is not being offered as an alternative to photocopying but rather for readers who need colour images for essays, presentations etc. Please ask at the desk for further details.
